5/16/10 – The metal world has lost Ronnie James Dio. There are few people who can be described as true legends in Heavy Metal. Dio was one of them. A group of us who grew up together were calling & e-mailing each other all day. We didn’t realize what an impact Dio had upon us. His music was so much of the soundtrack of our lives growing up. I saw my first Dio show in 1985 and never stopped being a fan. Back in NE Philly, if you wore a Dio t-shirt you were automatically cool, no matter how dorky you may have been in reality. The fact that you listened to “Holy Diver” raised you up a notch. I truly look back with fond memories of the man and his music. He will never be forgotten. Ronnie James Dio…I raise my fingers in the “devil horn” sign as a salute to you.

Need a new Bass – Must be able to handle the funk

My main bass I’ve playing for close to 25 years now. I think it may be time for a good back up bass. I was shopping around over the weekend. I’m having a hard time finding one that floats my boat.
Can’t seem to find one with that “magic funk button”. What do you think of this one?

Unplugged

12/17/09 – At the last minute, Mike and I decided to play an acoustic show in Telford, PA. Played “Unplugged” versions of “Back to you”, “Jessie”, and “Think it Over”. Lots of fun but I can’t wait to play more shows with a full band! I want to overload some more camcorders!!!

12/3/09 – Had a great time at the Record Release party. I want to thank all who came out. It was great to hear the songs live and see the reaction from everyone in the crowd. I hope everyone had as much fun as I did. There’s a clip on the Video tab. Sorry for the sound quality but the mic on the camcorder tends to get overloaded at higher volumes. It’s all that Rock n Roll!!!
